THE group met at Christchurch Hall, Matchborough Centre, on April 12. Before business, a minute's silence was observed for Len Horton, a well-known and respected member of the community.
Alistair Webster, from West Mercia Constabulary, gave a talk about the diversity training the force now includes in its training.
Several maintenance problems that had not been carried out were then discussed and it was agreed to get onto those concerned.
Happily, there were several reports of satisfied residents who had had their repairs seen to satisfactorily.
Phil Williams gave a short talk and said he had arranged for the Citizens Advice Bureau to be at the church hall every Friday morning and he hoped this would be useful to residents. He is also working hard to complete arrangements for the luncheon club.
The next meeting will be on Monday, May 16, at 7pm at the Matchborough West Meeting Rooms, Clifton Road.
