I READ with interest that MG Rover workers are to enjoy a holiday from payment of Council Tax within the Bromsgrove district.

Will the council be offering this facility to all people who are made redundant, this seems to be a first. After all Rover was a privately owned firm and whilst the management are morally wrong in their actions, what they have done was not illegal.

I feel that this is just an election ploy. Or am I just being cynical?
