Barnt Green Spartak 4 Bloxwich Town 1
Midland Combination Premier Division
TOP SCORER Warren Sewell sparked a well deserved victory over high-flying Bloxwich before limping off on Saturday.
Sewell opened the scoring to make it 21-goals for the season for the former Pilkington XXX man, but then had to be taken off at half time.
However, even without their most potent scorer Spartak were far too strong for Bloxwich as GJ Singh's side notched up another impressive victory over a side above them.
Spartak went into the game in good form after defeating Coventry Sphinx and Marconi in recent weeks.
Sewell opened the scoring in the 15th minute when he got his head to strike partner Kieron Holland's cross.
Delroy Brown had two chances to score from the penalty spot but missed both. The first time Bloxwich's goalkeeper moved off his line, but Brown's weak attempt was saved at the second attempt.
However, Barnt Green found a higher gear in the second half and Akbar Ali, Holland and Rodalph Richards were on target.
* Alex Lewis (2) and Sewell scored in April 27's 3-3 draw with Feckenham.
However, a deflected late goal robbed them of all the points.
