BIDFORD-based IT network provider Freedom Technology recently won a contract to provide IT support, systems and broadband to Plato Catering Hire, based in Broom.

Managing director Kerry Winter said: "It's a great opportunity for two local companies to work together.

"Plato will now have the IT infrastructure they need to enable their continued growth."

Lynn Kennedy, systems development manager at Plato Catering Hire, said: "We had been considering a new infrastructure for sometime and were looking around for suppliers. Freedom Technology were referred to us quite late in the day but their philosophy, professionalism and clear understanding of our business gave them an immediate edge.

"We have only been live for two weeks and the systems and support have been fabulous. They are a great asset to us."
