Maureen Smith, the president, welcomed members to the April meeting of Sidemoor WI held at Holly Lodge.
She reported on the resolution meeting held at the Christopher Whitehead School, in Worcester, on April 4 and attended by three of our members.
The secretary, Catherine Kealy read out a letter from the Sunfield Children's Home thanking members for the Easter eggs sent for the children.
Sonia Williams then gave a very entertaining talk on living and working as a teacher in the Zambia for six years in the 1960s. She talked about the heat, vibrant colours and vastness of the country and showed members her collection of memorabilia.
Jean Miac won the flower arrangement competition. The next meeting will be on May 18 when the resolutions for the national AGM will be debated.
