BROMSGROVE CC warmed up for the Birmingham and District League Division One with an emphatic win over Beacon on Saturday.
The Boars will go into their opening fixture away at Harborne on Saturday in buoyant mood after seeing off their Division Three opponents with a one hundred run victory.
Bromsgrove captain Nick Davies lost the toss and opposite number Mike Smith put the Boars into bat.
However, Davies (51) and Julian Court (42) took the initiative by building a 96-run opening partnership.
Richard Barnes (73) and Gregg Gibbin (21) then formed an effective partnership as Bromsgrove recorded a comfortable 201-3 off 34 overs.
Nick Husbands soon stifled Beacon's response, dismissing Turkich (7) and Billings (11).
New addition Dan Rose also found his line and length as he took an impressive 2-10
Jordan Rose also took two wickets as Beacon were dismissed one hundred runs short.
* All-rounder Mark Evenson misses Bromsgrove's opening game of the season at Harborne because of a coaching course.
New Zealander Nick Edwards is set to join Bromsgrove for a second time and is expected to be available for Saturday's game (1pm start).
