TWO of the country's best-loved actors will be coming to Malvern this month.
Peter Bowles and Sian Phillips star in Yazmina Reza's The Unexpected Man at Malvern Theatres in Grange Road from Monday, May 30, to Saturday, June 4.
The play is about two strangers who meet on board a train travelling between Paris and Frankfurt - successful but cynical writer Paul and attractive widow Martha, who also happens to be an admirer of his work.
Paul is glum at the prospect of travelling to see his daughter marry an older man and she with is consumed with anxiety about sitting opposite a famous author.
The comedy is alive with tension as it delves into the lives of two strangers.
Peter Bowles is best-known for his roles in the TV series To The Manor Born and The Irish RM, while Sian Phillips has won many awards for her television work, notably cult series I, Claudius.
Tickets for the show cost £16-24.
