WORCESTERSHIRE'S bowlers found themselves on the receiving end as Loughborough took charge in Kidderminster.
The County, who gave first-class debuts to youngsters Steve Davies, Daryl Mitchell and Stuart Wedge, eventually took four wickets at Chester Road yesterday, but not until the visitors had taken charge in the rain-affected three-day match.
After winning the toss, openers Richard Clinton and Ed Foster put on 197, only for their side to finish the day on 233-4 after a mini-collapse.
Surrey batsman Clinton became Zander de Bruyn's maiden first-class victim for Worcestershire when he fell on 106 before Zimbabwean Ray Price bagged Foster's wicket and Krishana Singh for a duck.
Worcestershire academy starlet Will Gifford also failed to trouble the scorers, falling to Nadeem Malik as the County battled back.
On a typically flat Chester Road strip, Worcestershire will be hoping to make quick inroads today, but rain prevented a prompt start.
