A TEENAGE football fan from Kidderminster was killed in a collision with a car as she made her way to a match at the Wolverhampton Wanderers' stadium.
Sixteen-year-old Kate Freeman, who attended Holy Trinity School in the town, was heading to the Molineux ground for Wolves' final game of the season against Sheffield United.
Kate was hit by a blue Daewoo Matiz at 11am on Sunday in Waterloo Road as she crossed the Wolverhampton ring road.
She was airlifted to Selly Oak Hospital in Birmingham suffering from severe head injuries but died from her injuries at 6.30pm.
A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said the driver of the car was a 60-year-old woman from Wolverhampton. She was not injured in the collision.
