A COMPANY with an import base in Hampton Lovett, Droitwich has launched a parking aid that can be used on cars with a towbar.
Until now, such devices have not worked with towbars as they continually detect them as an obstacle. MetSystem's ActivePark4 sees beyond them and creates a detection zone up to 1.5m away. As an obstacle becomes closer, the intensity of the beeps increase until a constant tone sounds when the obstacle is 30cm away from the rear of the vehicle.
MetSystem is an international company with a turnover of 80m Euros. It employs 25 people at its import section on the Hampton Lovett Industrial Estate.
