TONY Windo has been named Worcester Rugby Club's player of the season.
The veteran prop, who played in all but one of the Warriors' Premiership games, was awarded the title by coaches John Brain and Andy Keast.
The 36-year-old has continued his rock solid form this season after an ultra consistent campaign as Worcester claimed the National One title in 2004.
And head coach Keast wanted to reflect that performance.
"The buzz word in rugby at present is player burnout," said Keast. "However, Tony comes in every week, hardly ever misses a training session and has missed just one Premiership game this season.
"He looks after himself and, considering his age and the position he plays in, he has done phenomenally well this year. He is an example to everybody at the club."
Scrum-half Matt Powell picked up the most improved player award, while Dale Rasmussen was the unanimous choice as the players' player of the season at Sixways.
