Himbleton get a winning draw

RUN machine Andy Howorth made a fine debut as Himbleton were held to a draw on Saturday in the Worcester League Division Four.

Howorth, a winter addition from Birlingham, made an immediate impact with a powerful 79.

Despite the batsman's impressive form stubborn Claverley batted out for a share of the points.

Howorth and captain Dean Oliver (21) guided their side to 111, before both openers were bowled. Charlie Wright (43 not out) steered his side to 251.

Les Jenkins and Richard Pretty took two wickets each as Claverly batsman Jenkins (89) steered his side to 152-4.
