IT was bon voyage to a group of French residents who visited Bromsgrove.

The group, from Saint Sauveur Lendelin, came to the town as guests of Bromsgrove and District Twinning Association.

During their stay they visited various attractions, including Cadbury World in Birmingham, the Black Country Museum and the Jinney Ring Craft Centre, Hanbury.

They also took part in a social event at Stoke Prior where all twinning members and French guests were invited to take along craft or hobby items they had made for display.

The visit was rounded off last Saturday night with a barn dance and pig roast supper at Bromsgrove Labour Club, in Worcester Road.

Twinning association chairman Ros Cooke said the trip went really well, especially with the number of young people who attended.

During their stay some spent the day at Aston Fields Middle School and one went to North Bromsgrove High School.

"Some of the highlights were the number of pen friendships established, a visit to the Artrix and a barn dance where even the English food received positive comments," said Ros.
