A BROMSGROVE school headteacher could scoop a top teaching award.
Headteacher Phil McTague of South Bromsgrove High School, Charford Road, has been short-listed for the regional heat of the National Teaching Awards. If he is named top teacher at the West Midlands final, which will be held at the Heritage Motor Centre, in Gaydon, next month, he will then go on to the national final at the end of the year.
His fellow teachers and the department heads at South Bromsgrove High School nominated him for the honour.
He said: "I am honoured to receive this nomination by my colleagues for this auspicious award."
