A PACKED programme of entertainment is on the cards for visitors to Bromsgrove's Sanders Park this summer. There will be fun for all gathering around the Jubilee Bandstand from now until the middle of September.

Music and mirth, storytelling, puppets, magic and clowns are some of the items on offer for townsfolk who want to indulge in open-air entertainment.

District councillor June Griffiths, the cabinet member responsible for leisure, said: "The Jubilee Bandstand is the in-place to be this summer and each year we add more to our festivities.

"Wind bands, brass bands, jazz and symphony, puppet theatre, folk tales and nursery rhymes, Punch and Judy, school bands and youth bands, clowns and arts workshops, there will be something for everyone," she added.

Other summertime delights for youngsters include the district council's Activzone multi-arts and sports workshops at the Dolphin, Haybridge and Woodrush sports centres; art and drama workshops in the Spadesbourne Suite during August Arts Week; and the tenth anniversary celebrations of Bromsgrove's popular Street Theatre, held every Wednesday in August on the town's Recreation Ground.

Regal Garage, Bromsgrove, is sponsoring the programme of summer entertainment at Sanders Park.
