AFTER a year of service the mayors of two Worcestershire towns are putting their feet up starting with a relaxing dip in Droitwich Brine Baths.
Andrew Dyke stepped down as mayor of Evesham on Monday, May 9 and Anne Taft is to step down as Droitwich mayor on Monday, May 16.
Chris Parsons will step down as Pershore's mayor today and the annual meeting of Pershore's town council tonight will decide whether he will continue for another year.
Mr Dyke described a 'marvellous year'. He said the highlight was Evesham winning the Britain in Bloom medium town category. "I had the honour of collecting the award in Leamington Spa," he said.
The benefits of bathing in heated mineral water have been acknowledged since Roman times, as a relaxing relief from aches and pains.
