THE group held its meeting on April 28 at Wythall Village Hall.

Members were welcomed and the meeting opened with the group prayer.

As president Miriam Knowles was on holiday, vice-president Sue Barnard took the meeting.

Sue reminded members the cost of the June ramble is £5 and should be paid. Any remaining spaces on the coach will then be offered to husbands and partners.

The entrance fee to Tatton Flower Show must be paid by May in order to buy tickets in advance.

Sue also reminded members subscriptions were due and that as the club was growing in size, five more members each month were needed to volunteer for the tea rota.

The date for the Christmas meal is Thursday, December 8. Details of walks in May and June were given.

Sue then welcomed the speaker, John Delaney, from Birmingham Fuschia Society, who gave a fascinating and enjoyable talk. Members received much helpful advice on growing and propagating fuschias.

Ann Wilson gave the vote of thanks and Norma Baker won the raffle. The next meeting is on Thursday, May 25, when Marian Canning will give a talk entitled An Unusual Job for a Lady.
