Powick Parish Ramblers had good weather for their five-mile walk around Rous Lench, near Flyford Flavell. Most of the walk was on the flat and the final stretch was through woodland. The path led steeply downhill from the ridge, back to the village green at Rous Lench. The walk, which took in Abbotts Morton, was enjoyed immensely and Brian and Brenda Boaler were thanked for leading it.

Refreshment was taken at the Wheelbarrow and Castle for coffee and at the Boot, Flyford Flavell. The next walk will take place on Thursday, May 26, starting at the Wyre Forest Visitor Centre, Callow Hill, off the A456 (GR 749739 Landranger map 138 Pathfinder 152). The walk in Wyre Forest starts at 10am and details are from leaders Isabel and Peter Brant on (01905) 23853.
