There is a poster at Foregate Street Station which declares the intention of Central Trains that all passengers depart on time.
It says: "To help you reach your destination on time, the train doors will close thirty seconds before departure time."
Do I state the obvious by saying that a train departs on time only if it arrives on time. Does Central Trains know that?
