E3 MOTORSPORTS rider Christian Elkin notched up his third consecutive win in the 125cc race at Oulton Park during the fourth round of the British Superbike championships, extending his overall lead to 33 points.

Christian, who ended the first two wet practice sessions in pole position, dropped to second overall during the two dry qualifying sessions, starting once again on the front row.

Although falling behind at one stage Christian came storming back, setting the fastest lap of the race and taking the chequered flag.

This result, his third consecutive win, extends his lead at the top of the championship table to 88 points, with Rob Guiver on 55. The next round takes the team to Mondello Park in Ireland.

Malvern's Nick Carpenter, the team engineer, said although Christian is the reigning 125cc British champion, they found it hard to raise sufficient sponsorship with an estimated cost of £33,000 for the 13 round championship.
