PERSHORE Abbey is to stage a concert that will see the largest orchestra ever to have performed at the venue.
It will also be the first time Verdi's great masterpiece Requiem will ever have been performed at the abbey.
"It is a challenging work, a tour de force involving two choirs and four soloists, and once again the soloists have been carefully chosen from the highly renowned Royal Northern College of Music," said Pershore Choral's conductor and musical director Andrew Wilson.
The concert, on Saturday, May 21, starts at 7.30pm and tickets, which cost from £10, can be purchased from Blue, in Broad Street, Pershore, or from Carole Oliver on 01386 860389 or 07808 887715.
