BUSINESSES looking for advice on training are being urged to book a date in their diary for Thursday, May 26.

The Skills Station, the one-stop training advice shop for Herefordshire and Worcestershire businesses, is sponsoring The Academy zone at this year's Business Festival, where the needs of businesses' greatest asset - its staff - are considered.

Visitors to the Business Festival at the Three Counties Showground, near Malvern will be able to see the 'Skills Station Live.' For more on the festival, visit www.businessfestival.co.uk.

Local training providers will be delivering a range of free taster sessions including Employment Law, Managing People and Health and Safety.

"Industry losses, through lack of both technical and basic skills, are as high as £10 billion annually," said Corinne Edwards, Skills Station manager.

"Involvement with the Business Festival will help build awareness of our offer to local businesses and go some way to ensuring that skills gaps are bridged and training requirements of even more businesses are met."
