IF you dream of gaining gold at the Chelsea Flower Show and your grass makes neighbours green with envy, the BBC wants to hear from you.
BBC Gardeners' World, which is presentd by Monty Don, is digging around for Britain's best amateur gardener and is keen to speak to people from Herefordshire and Worcestershire who think they could be in the running.
The contest is open to anyone who is not a professional gardener and does not earn a living from horticultural-related activities. The only other two entry requirements are a glorious garden and heaps of knowledge
Entrants will be whittled down to the last five talented finalists who then have four days to design and build a show garden while being tested on their knowledge of horticulture.
"We're particularly keen to see more applicants from the Midlands," says series producer, Rosemary Edwards.
Applicants need to be free this July, August and early September and should apply in writing to BBC Gardener of the Year 2005, Level 10, BBC Mailbox, Royal Mail Street, Birmingham B1 1RF or email gardeneroftheyear@bbc.co.uk
The closing date for entries in Sunday, July 3.
