WORCESTER City will have to wait another week before closing out a deal on their main summer transfer target.
Player-manager Andy Preece was hoping to clinch the capture of the 23-year-old player before the weekend.
But the highly-regarded central de-fender is now on a week's holiday and he will decide whether to join the St George's Lane club when he returns.
Preece is hopeful of drafting in several fresh faces in preparation for the new Nationwide North campaign, but the defender is at the top of his wish-list.
He said: "We've had talks but he's going away and won't make his decision until he comes back. There are one or two other players that I am also looking at, but this is the main one. If I can get hold of this player, it would be great."
