GRAHAM Turner is confident that all Hereford United players offered new terms will re-sign for next season.

Four players have already committed themselves to the Bulls - Danny Carey-Bertram, Jamie Pitman, Sam Gwynne and Andy Williams - yet the rest are still pondering their futures.

Turner is now awaiting their decisions as he plans to radically re-shape his squad in the wake of United's Nationwide Conference play-off semi-final second leg defeat to Stevenage Borough last Friday.

"They have all been offered new deals and we want them to stay," said Turner. "I think they will, but it would depend on what offers they get from other clubs.

"The number of players we can bring in will depend on who re-signs for us. We may be allowed to bring in six to eight players.

"We need to enliven the squad. I just feel we needed to change a few things and I think the supporters want to see new faces.

"The job over the next few weeks will be to

try and bring in the right sort of players for the club."

Turner admits that the squad will need strengthening in all departments, from the front to back.

He added: "At the moment, we would need another goalkeeper, a central defender, but it depends on who we have next season because we are waiting on Tamika Mkandawire, Andy Tretton and Tony James.

"It's the same at full-back. Then we need a central midfielder, centre forward and so on. We need strengthening in most areas."

The quartet of Lee Mills, Graham Hyde, Danny Williams and Ben Scott were all released by Turner to free up cash for new summer signings.

The Edgar Street chief insists the decision to move the foursome on was tough.

Turner added: "It's always difficult to make those decisions when you work with the players over the course of the season, and in Danny's case for a long time. But decisions have to be made."
