CHAMINDA Vaas got Worcestershire off to a flyer in their clash with Yorkshire this morning.
The Sri Lankan pace ace had Aussie star Ian Harvey caught behind for a duck after the visitors won the toss and elected to field.
Worcestershire included Kabir Ali in their side after the England star passed a late fitness test for the Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy second round match at Headingley.
James Pipe also got the nod over Steve Davies for the wicketkeeper slot and he was soon in action, snapping up Harvey's wicket following a fine Vaas delivery.
By the 10th over, Yorkshire had moved on to 28-1 with another Australian, Phil Jacques, looking in ominous form. He took a particular liking to Matt Mason's bowling as he reached 17 off 24 balls.
