I refer to Carole Roberts' comments with regard to Jess and Penny the two dogs rescued by the RSPCA and now on the way to good health.
We all like to read of happy endings but did she read the last paragraph of the article which said that if the two dogs were not found homes they would be destroyed.
This beggars belief when the animals have been rescued and treated back to health. Sadly this is common practise of the RSPCA and many dogs are destroyed on a weekly basis, most of them perfectly healthy animals.
If this organisation wants to continue to rescue animals, it should be prepared to keep them until the end of their natural life if not rehomed as do other rescue organisations. I sincerely hope both Jess and Penny find the homes they deserve.
