The visitors took a 3-1 half-time lead but a penalty save by David Clifton proved the turning point and Drakes hot back to take a point and maintain their unbeaten league record.

Clifton added two more fine stops to his spot-kick save but Newtown still appeared set for the points when they led 4-2.

However, two goals in the final ten minutes epitomised the spirit in the home camp and the visitors were left reflecting on what might have been.

Sam Hicks and Jamie Watts both netted twice for Drakes.
