EVESHAM'S junior season got off to a successful start with victories over Pershore and Rushwick.
The under 13s beat Pershore by 10 wickets after openers Christian Pearce and Chris Ayliffe reached the retirement score of 30.
James Martin then saw his team home with three overs to spare after Pershore's Tim Smith earlier top scored with 30 not out in their 91-7.
David Waters was the leading Evesham wicket-taker. Meanwhile, the under 15s amassed a mammoth 180-1 in 20 overs against Rushwick with 15-year-old Marcus Humpston crashing a superb unbeaten 130.
Dave Mullet gave solid support with 29 not out and skipper Andrew Fisher was the only wicket to fall.
Rushwick lost wickets regularly in reply and were bowled out for 75 with James Crenan claiming three wickets, Lisa Martin two and Luke Fisher two.
