Belbroughton get a winning draw
BELBROUGHTON were denied maximum points by stubborn Cookley in the Worcester League Division Two on Saturday.
Dave Hayward (94) and Lee Knight (47) had powered the Tons to 252-7.
Seam bowler Andy McKenzie was the pick of Belbroughton's bowlers, taking 5-26, as Cookley reached 150-8 to take a share of the points.
Captain Dave Hayward said: "We batted really well and just could not find that spark required to bowl Cookley out."
The seconds beat Cookley by eight wickets, keeping them to 157-9, before Simon Jessop hit 74 as the Tons made 159-1.
