I AM writing in praise of the superlative care and kindness shown by staff at Rashwood Nursing Home, in Wychbold, who nursed my mother during the final weeks of her life.
Without exception, the nurses and carers at Rashwood did their job with professionalism, patience, cheerfulness and warmth, offering comfort and helping to ease distress at a desperately sad time for both my mother and ourselves.
Our only regret is that mum's cancer was so far advanced she had little opportunity to enjoy the wonderful environment there, especially now the gardens are so beautiful.
We cannot speak highly enough of the kindness she received. All her visitors commented that the attitude of nursing staff was quite exceptional - they really do offer plenty of good, old-fashioned 'tender loving care' along with the medicines.
Because of this, despite the unhappy circumstances, our memories of Rashwood will always be very positive ones.
Matron Anne Lodge and her marvellous team really are a 'Band of Angels'! Our sincerest thanks to you all.
