A NEW book is a real thriller for Bromsgrove-based author Daniel Cure.

The 24-year-old always wanted to have a book published before he hit 30 - and he made it with six years to spare when his debut novel appeared on Monday.

The Road To Inheritance is an action tale about a man who travels to Scotland in search of his uncle's stolen necklace only to find himself held prisoner.

Dan, who works in marketing at Bromsgrove NEW College, thought of the idea on a travelling expedition to Australia and started writing it when he got back.

"I read all sorts of books but my favourites are action stories with twists," said Daniel, from Clydesdale Rise, in Droitwich. "It took about eight months to write in my spare time and having it published is very exciting."

The former Droitwich Spa High School pupil has had the book published online by Trafford and it can be printed in response to demand. He's also hoping to have it on sale in local bookstores by the summer.

He's so confident it will appeal to action fans of all ages, he's already halfway through the sequel, to be called Raphael.
