AT THE annual awards dinner, chairman of Bredon Buzzards Chris Wilkinson announced the successful outcome of negotiations and plans to provide the juniors with two new pitches for next season.

The pitches will be adjacent to the cricket club and the Buzzards will have use of the cricket club pavilion as a clubhouse on Sunday mornings for changing and hospitality.

Wilkinson said: "The one thing the club has lacked is a clubhouse and now we will be able to offer hospitality to visiting clubs."

Wychavon District Council approved the plans last month and there will be plenty of work involved including sowing grass, erecting fencing and hedging and building an access foot-bridge.

The Buzzards will also continue to use two pitches in Bredon for their junior matches that will see the section running teams from Under-7 to Under-16s next term.
