BROMSGROVE Golf CLub's juniors defeated Worcestershire rivals Gaudet Luce to record their first ever victory.

The juniors defeated their Droitwich neighbours 4-2.

Jack Walker and Chris Berrisford won 2-1, while Jim Deeny and Chris Mole clinched victory by winning 3-2.

Tom Stockwell and Dan Bradshaw halved their match, as did James Wheeler and Craig Boland.

Tom Renhard and Henry Lyiatt were beaten.

Darren Smith won Bromsgrove Golf Club's first junior medal of the season with a net score of 65.

In the Midland Alliance League's latest round Bromsgrove finished third at Rosehill Golf Club.

Banks and Fox finished two-over-par, while Bott and Knight ended on two-under.

Downes and Boland recorded three-under and Halfpenny and Alton finished on one over-par.

Hillier and Woodcock beat off stiff competition to win the Dallaway Shield.

Eighty competitors took part in the stableford betterball competition.

The winners had finished the tournament tied on 40 points with Thomas and Rooke.

However, Hillier and Woodcock's superior score on the back nine handed them the Shield.

In the Birmingham and District 17 to 24 Handicap League Bromsgrove kick started their season by defeating neighbours Redditch Kingfisher 246-215.
