BRIAN Newton and Adrian Main represented Evesham Whee-lers at last Sunday's VTTA (West) Jack Grey National Points 25-mile Time Trial.
The course covered a two-lap circuit from Cirencester to the Water Park near South Cerney.
In windy conditions the riders were assisted with a strong tailwind on the downhill section of the course where speeds above 35 mph were achieved for several miles only to enco-unter a strong headwind on the return uphill sections.
Newton won the Vete-ran Standard for 56 and over with a time of one hour two minutes and two seconds, while Main recorded 1.11.06 to take 23rd place overall.

This Sunday's run will be to Cirencester and Winchcombe, meet outside Argos in the High Street at 9am for a run that caters for all abilities.
