A EUROPEAN training centre for Harley-Davidson workers is to be created in Worcestershire following a £1.7m grant from the regional development agency.

Staff from the motorcycle firm's dealerships across Europe, the Middle East and Africa will use the Bromsgrove facilities to further their learning.

And when the first Harley-Davidson training centre in Britain is not being used by staff it will be used by local businesses and students from the North East Worcestershire College.

It is hoped more than 200 people will be trained at the centre each year on a range of courses including motorcycle engineering, management development, leadership and customer services.
