BALLOONS filled the skies of Worcester to highlight the need to look after children with disabilities.
A new register has been launched to improve the lives of youngsters with disabilities.
The birth of SCROLL - the Special Children's Roll - was marked by a balloon launch at Perdiswell Young People's Club.
123 balloons were released to represent the number of children on the register so far.
The network has been created as part of Worcester City Council's responsibility to keep a register of all the youngsters living with a disability within its boundaries.
Signing up is voluntary, and there is no assessment, but the council urges parents register their children as the data will be used to improve services.
"The register will help us ensure services for disabled children are developed where they are needed most," said Sian Price, the information co-ordinator in Children's Services.
