A RETIRED tennis star married his wife for her money but finds out she's in love with another man.

He plots her murder but who does the hired killer kill and who is guilty?

It's the plot of the 1950s classic thriller Dial M for Murder, written by Frederick Knott and made famous on the big screen by Alfred Hitchcock and it's coming to Malvern Theatres next week.

It stars Steven Pinder, alias Max from Brookside, Richard Walsh from London's Burning, Joy Brook from The Bill and Richard Grieve from Neighbours, all under the wing of Middle Ground Theatre Company, based in Malvern and now one of the Midlands prolific and acclaimed production companies.

The production is the first of three thrillers being staged at Malvern this summer to mark the current theatre thriller revival.

The 39 Steps and Wait Until Dark are coming in August. Contact the theatre for ticket details on 01684 892277 or log on to www.malvern-theatres-.co.uk.
