THE Heritage Centre in Upton-upon-Severn has received more than 500 visitors since it opened for the summer season.
Based in the old church tower known as the Pepperpot, it provides information about the history of the town and the River Severn which flows through it.
It was open at Easter, when there were 160 visitors, and during the Upton Folk Festival, when there were 200.
Since then it has been open from 10.30am to 4.30pm every day except Thursdays and Fridays.
"It is staffed by a trusty team of volunteers, who are very knowledgeable and always happy to answer people's questions," said Sue Creese, of Upton Tourist Information Centre.
"We now have more Civil War souvenirs on sale and we have added a children's activity table. We are also preparing a children's question sheet.
"We would like to open every day if we had more volunteers."
Anyone who could spare a morning or afternoon to man the centre for three hours is invited to call in at 4, High Street.
