A mini digger worth £15,000 has been stolen from a works compound in the car park at Tesco Stores in Worcester Road, Evesham.
The theft is believed to have happened between 1pm last Saturday and 7am on Monday after thieves broke into the fenced compound where the equipment was stored.
The yellow 1.4 tonne mini digger which carries the Power Plant Hereford logo, is also identifiable by a plant number of 5562, serial number of 27415901 and its engine number, 94953JO.
Also stolen from the compound was a low-loader double-axled aluminium trailer which carried the digger, with the serial number G2684019G0053453.
A police spokesman said: "We would like to hear from any members of the community who saw the equipment being moved from the site over the weekend or from anyone who might be offered such specialist equipment."
