SLIMMERS have helped fatten Operation Covert's bank account by raising almost £1,500 with a sponsored fitness and diet regime.
About £1,400 was pledged to a group of 11 slimmers who counted their calories and got physical to raise appeal cash.
Anne Denton said she and husband, David, the district commissioner for Kidderminster & District Scout Council, had lost between a stone and a stone and a half each.
She added: "We are all very pleased. It was an excellent way to raise money. It has been well worth it and it has been quite a lot of fun as well.
"Most people have just been counting calories. David and I have watched what we eat, not too many takeaways.
"A few of us joined an aqua aerobics class, which was excellent fun."
