ANOTHER takeaway is to open in Kidderminster's Horsefair - despite objections that there are already enough fast food outlets in the busy street.
A former furniture shop, on the junction of Blackwell Street and Union Street by the Horsefair island, can now be converted into a takeaway, councillors agreed.
Four objections were handed to Wyre Forest District Council's planning (development control) committee.
The street was "already saturated with takeaway businesses and another will only add to the already increasing anti-social behaviour of youngsters and drunken adults requiring food late at night," one objector stated.
The plan would cause "horrendous parking and traffic problems", others said.
A previous ruling, in 1985, meant the plan was, however, acceptable, said council case officer, Claire Bishop.
