COMMUNITY-run projects in Wyre Forest could be eligible for grants of up to £2,000.
Residents who want to set up a local project and have no other funding can apply to the Community Champions fund.
The grant is administered in Worcestershire by independent charity, Community First, which offers support to voluntary organisations and community groups.
The aim of the fund is to help people who can inspire others to get more involved in renewing their neighbourhood through participation in community groups.
Fund administrator, Sophie Mead, said: "Community Champions is there to help people who want to benefit their community. The grants can be used to pay for such things as training, research, equipment, developing your skills or for visiting other groups and sharing good practice."
