CHURCH leaders from St Wulstan's in Warndon, Worcester, are to meet architects to discuss plans for redevelopment work.
The church, in Cranham Drive, is hoping for a grant in addition to the £10,000 the congregation has already raised to build a new kitchen and provide toilets with disabled access.
Rev Dominic Melville said the building was now 40 years old and needed to be redesigned becasue it was no longer suitable for the use to which it was put.
"It was built to fulfil the roles of both parish church and community hall, with the present hall added later so there is no direct access to the kitchen," he said.
"The facilities are showing their age and the kitchen has fallen into disuse except
for making tea and coffee."
It is hoped the church will be able to be used by more Warndon community groups once the work is done.
