I AM sorry but I think they are greedy! One hundred thousand people expected to visit the Malvern Spring Gardening Show, yet on Saturday, May 14, I paid £13 for my ticket.
No complaints about the show or its content (as usual it was excellent, well worth the visit), the weather was also very kind, but £13.
Then again, this month I paid Malvern Hills District Council £8 for my two hour parking permit (£2 the last time I renewed it).
Maybe the Government, councillors, MPs and MEPs could conspire in some way each year to increase the basic state pension by such mouth-watering amounts? At 80 years of age, I perhaps ignore the extra 25p I now receive each week from a grateful Government but even this will not go far at the Autumn Gardening Show as booking will cost me £11 (plus the stamp) should I apply in advance. But curiously, it is £11 on the day if paying at the gate.
