WORCESTERSHIRE'S director of cricket Tom Moody has missed out on the India national team coach's job.
Fellow Australian Greg Chappell has agreed a deal until the end of the 2007 World Cup.
"The decision to appoint Chappell was unanimous," said Ranbir Singh Mahendra, president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
Meanwhile, Rain delayed the start of Worcestershire's Championship match with Essex at Chelmsford today.
