YOUNG karate student Amie Stilliard battled through to a silver medal for fighting in the English Wadu-Ryu Sports Karate Association Children's Championship.
This event involves competitions in kumite (fighting) and katas (a sequence of moves) and was held at the Bromyard Leisure Centre .
Amie, aged 12, is a purple belt and trains on Wednesdays at Christ Church Hall in Malvern and on Fridays at the Heritage Centre in Bromyard.
She has fought in many other competitions and she and her Malvern Club has gained many other medals in both kumite and katas.
