A GROUP of garden enthusiasts from Worcestershire is looking forward to a rare royal treat when they visit Prince Charles' world-renowned private gardens at Highgrove.
The 25 tickets, at £125 each, were instantly snapped up to join trip on Thursday, June 9 which is being organised by Webbs of Wychbold Garden Centre for its Garden Club members. All the profits from the visit will go to the St Richard's New Hospice Appeal - Webbs chosen charity of the year.
Webbs Managing Director, Ed Webb, said club members were delighted to have the chance to visit Highgrove, Gloucestershire.
"It really is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. The gardens are only open on a very limited number of occasions to invited guests," he said. "The gardens at Highgrove are reportedly exquisite and have been created with the help of some of Britain's finest designers such as Sir Roy Strong and Rosemary Verey. They are living examples of the Prince's gardening ideals and organic principles.
"For garden enthusiasts the day at Highgrove will be a memory to treasure." Mr Webb will be taking a gift for the Prince of Wales - one of the new "Precious Memories" roses recently named in a special competition in partnership with St Richard's Hospice.
Webbs is exclusively selling the salmon floribunda roses at £8.99 and will donate £1 to the St Richard's New Hospice Appeal for every rose purchased this year.
