DEDICATED women from Cannons Health Club are raring to go in this year's Race for Life after being put through their paces by a personal trainer.
Lydia Rowberry, of the club in Droitwich Road, Perdiswell, Worcester, has helped members Rachel Luke, Jackie Wright and Jane Hill shape up and is confident they will run the whole 5km on Sunday, June 12, to raise £500.
"It has been really satisfying to see the girls' progress over the nine months we have been training," she said.
"We've done training in the gym at Cannons as well as on the road and the girls have steadily progressed in terms of their stamina, confidence and fitness levels."
The event, starting at Worcester Racecourse and winding through the city streets will see 5,000 women and girls running, jogging and walking to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.
The Worcester's event is now full, but to find out about other races visit www.raceforlife.org or call 08705 134314.
