FOR how much longer are we residents of Malvern expected to put up with the tuneless cacophony emanating from the belfry of the Priory every Sunday.
I wonder what tiny minority of the residents are actually Christian and how many of those are not in possession of alarm clocks to awake them for morning prayer? Why should the rest of us have to suffer this particular form of religious imperialism?
Imagine the outrage if Muslims attempted to erect a mosque in the town and an imam was to call the faithful to prayer and dare to wake the slumbering majority!
We live in a multicultural, multi-faith society now and the many minorities within that society should learn to pursue their beliefs in a discreet manner that does not offend or impinge on the lives of the majority!
MANDEP SOHAL RICE, Court Road, Malvern.
